That Western Whopper sounds inviting - BUT - isn’t today a great day to take a bite out of your old eating and exercise habits
Altering our nutrition and fitness habits is perhaps one of the most challenging lifestyle issues. Still in a society where obesity, hypertension and diabetes is raging out of control, especially in Pan African communities - getting healthy is a must. So come on, challenge yourself to live, look and feel better. Let’s take a look at some of things that often hinder our effort to better nutrition and fitness.
Bodies goes through changes: Our bodies literally change every nine to 13 days. So if you equate your new better living plan to a new love affair - then you would have to remember to do something new and different every two and a half weeks. Not doing so, will cause you hit a weight loss plateau; where your efforts seem to be at a stand still. Doing the body change episodes it is vital that you keep the proper nutrients in your body. Proper nutrients include: protein, fats, vegetables, fruits, and good carbohydrates. It is also vital that you regularly drink water. Water helps flush toxins, as well as keep you properly hydrated while working out.
Get up and move: As hard as it may be to get finally get started in an exercise program; you will have to do it. Need some motivation? Picture this, you’re running late for work, you reach in the closet and grab an outfit; you attempt to pull it on only to discover it no longer fits. Now, imagine the stress, frustration and embarrassment you feel as you stare, in disbelief, in the mirror. It fit last month - didn‘t it?
